Fibrosarcomas represent an uncontrolled, neoplastic proliferation of fibroblasts. Large/chronic tumors affecting the eyelids frequently also involve adjacent ocular/orbital tissues. Lesions generally present as progressively enlarging, firm, poorly mobile subcutaneous swellings, which may additionally display surface ulceration. Sarcomas display varying morphological features, however typically behave in an aggressive & locally invasive manner. Commonly affected breeds include the Golden Retriever, Doberman Pincher & Rottweiler.
