Eyelid melanomas typically present as firm irregular and proliferative masses. These lesions may or not be pigmented (the diagnostic spectrum encompassing amelanotic melanomas) and may occasionally be associated with hemorrhage. Eyelid melanomas typically exhibit malignant behavior including aggressive local infiltration. Commonly affected breeds include the Doberman Pincher & Toy Poodle.
